The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) is honored to announce that we have received many short video messages from internationally renowned this year’s and past participants of TIFF, from filmmakers to actors and actresses, congratulating us on our 30th edition. We will begin uploading the messages, which share fond memories of TIFF experiences, on our YouTube and SNS on Monday, October 2, and other clips will follow.
 
The first group includes Ryuichi Sakamoto, the recipient of this year’s SAMURAI Award and also a Master Class speaker during the festival; Naomi Kawase, who will also lead a Master Class and will appear at the screening of her film Radiance in the Japan Now section; Masatoshi Nagase, a Competition jury member this year, as well as the star of Radiance; Fan Bingbing, a Competition jury member at the 24th TIFF; Yoji Yamada, one of Japan’s leading directors; and Juliette Binoche, whose latest film, Let the Sunshine In, will be screened in this year’s World Focus section.
