A special event to commemorate the December 1 release of FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, director Fumihiko Sori will talk about how he adapted the international megahit manga series, which sold 70 million copies worldwide and was considered impossible to film in live-action. What thrilling new visual world and cinematic experience can fans expect?

Fumihiko SoriWhile at USC in 1997, Sori joined the VFX crew for James Cameron's Titanic. He then returned to Japan to make his first feature, Ping Pong (02), which was nominated for Best Picture and Director at the 26th Japan Academy Prizes and won him Best New Director at the 24th Yokohama Film Festival. Sori produced the 3DCG animated Appleseed in 2004. Other live-action films include Ichi and Tomorrow's Joe.
*FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST will be screened as the Opening Film.

*Tickets are not refundable, exchangeable or replaceable in event of loss.
*Wrongful acts such as re-sales of tickets, ticket transaction numbers, and QR codes for commerical purpose are prohibited.
*We ask customers to leave when we find out that the tickets are not purchased via TIFF Official website.
*Pre-school children are not adimitted.
*The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
