Brillante Mendoza, the director who is credited with leading Filipino cinema into its ripe Third Golden Age, talks about his method for working with actors.

Brillante Ma Mendoza
Born in the Philippines in 1960. In 2005, he founded Center Stage Productions (CSP), an independent film production company. He made his directorial debut with The Masseur (Masahista), which won the Golden Leopard at Locarno. He has competed and won awards in major film festivals (Cannes, Venice, Berlin and others), including the Best Actress Award for his latest, Ma’ Rosa, at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.

*Tickets are not refundable, exchangeable or replaceable in event of loss.
*Wrongful acts such as re-sales of tickets, ticket transaction numbers, and QR codes for commerical purpose are prohibited.
*We ask customers to leave when we find out that the tickets are not purchased via TIFF Official website.
*Pre-school children are not adimitted.
*The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Ordiance for Healthy Youth Development prohibits individuals under age of 18 from being at theaters from 23:00 to 4:00. This also applies when these individuals are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
*Screenings at TIFF are not eligible for Cinemileage (TOHO CINEMAS mileage).
