Born in Fukuoka in 1981. After he left the company at 25, he started making films and continues to pose questions through incisive films that highlight social issues from his own viewpoint and insights. His previous film, Sunk in the Womb (2013), was based on the incident in Osaka where two children murdered after being abused. It was recommended by the Orange Ribbon Movement, which strives for a society without child abuse.
